Q: Is the Ride canceled?
A: The Ride is not canceled, but it will be a little different this year. The 2020 Vermont Adaptive Charity Ride will move to a completely virtual event starting now and culminating with virtual happy hour celebration with live music and more on June 20. This is not a decision that we made lightly, and we will miss the opportunity to see you all at Long Trail Brewery, but given guidance from the CDC, the State of Vermont, and in an effort to keep our community and participants safe, we are confident that this is the best decision.
Q: Will the Ride be rescheduled?
A: We will not be rescheduling the physical event for 2020. However, we will be holding 12 weeks of physical and fundraising challenges. While we will not have our physical event on June 20, we will be holding our Virtual Event (ride, walk, run, stroll) daily April – June.
Q: What is a “Virtual” ride, run, walk, stroll? How do I participate?
A: First, sign up for the virtual event at charityride.vermontadaptive.org/registration/
Once registered, you’ll want to become a member of the Vermont Adaptive Club on Strava. https://www.strava.com/clubs/VermontAdaptive
Q: Can my team members or others still register?
A: Yes! We encourage you and your friends to register at charityride.vermontadaptive.org/registration/ and continue to fundraise through June 20, 2020.
Q: If I’m already registered, do I need to register again as a Virtual Rider?
A: No! You can continue to raise funds with your initial registration and fundraising page or as a non-participant/volunteer. Your early registration qualifies you for all of the Virtual Event contests, prizes and fundraising incentives.
Q: Can I continue fundraising and have it count towards my goal?
A: Absolutely! Fundraising will continue through June 30, 2020. You will still have access to your fundraising page, and we will be introducing new fundraising challenges and incentives for all participants. We need your fundraising support now more than ever!
For support with your fundraising please contact Jenn at 802-353-8129 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Q: How do I turn in cash and checks I received?
A: Please mail donations to:
Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports, Attn: Virtual Event Charity Ride 2020, P.O. Box 139 Killington, VT 05751.
Please be sure to include your name on the memo line so that we know to credit the donations to your fundraising page! Funds must be received by Saturday, June 20, 2020 to be counted towards fundraising challenges, incentives, and leaderboards.
For questions about offline donations: Contact Lexi at 802-786-4991 x.14 or email@example.com
Q: Can I still get my T-shirt, Rider packet, Swag, etc.?
A: Yes! You will receive your Participant Appreciation Package once you raise $150 or more. We are determining the most efficient method to distribute event swag and fundraising incentives. Please continue to check our website for further information. All participants are eligible for fundraising incentives as they meet the virtual fundraising challenges and prize levels.
Q: Are there fundraising incentives?
A: Yes! We will be having additional fundraising incentives for all participants in this year’s Virtual Event! In addition to the traditional $300, $1000 and $3000 prize levels, we will be holding weekly virtual fundraising challenges with special prizes. Please follow the Vermont Adaptive Charity Ride on Facebook for updates on fundraising challenges and prizes. https://www.facebook.com/VermontAdaptiveCharityRide/
Q: How do I record my indoor riding miles or other exercise on Strava?
A: Check out our new resource here! It’ll walk you through the process of manually entering your activities. You can also download the Strava app and record your workouts in real time. Remember to join the Vermont Adaptive Club to compete for weekly prizes!
Q: How do I share my Journey?
