Q: Is the Charity Challenge Virtual Again for 2021?
A: Yes, due to the global pandemic, the Charity Challenge will be virtual again this year. The 2021 Vermont Adaptive Charity Challenge will move to a completely virtual event starting now and culminating with virtual happy hour celebration with live music and more on June 19. This is not a decision that we made lightly again for this year, and we will miss the opportunity to see you all, but given guidance from the CDC, the State of Vermont, and in an effort to keep our community and participants safe, we are confident that this is the best decision again for this year.
Q: What is a “Virtual” charity challenge mean? How do I participate?
A: First, sign up for the virtual event at charityride.vermontadaptive.org/registration/
Once registered, you’ll want to become a member of the Vermont Adaptive Club and/or the Lawson’s Finest Club on Strava.
Q: Can my team members or others still register?
A: Yes! We encourage you and your friends to register at charityride.vermontadaptive.org/registration/ and continue to fundraise through June 19, 2021.
Q: Can I fundraise?
A: Absolutely! Fundraising will continue through June 30, 2021. You will still have access to your fundraising page, and we will be introducing new fundraising challenges and incentives for all participants. We need your fundraising support now more than ever!
For support with your fundraising please contact Lexi at 802-786-4991 ext. 14 or [email protected]
Q: How do I turn in cash and checks I received?
A: Please mail donations to:
Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports, Attn: Lexi Moore, Virtual Event Charity Challenge 2021, P.O. Box 139 Killington, VT 05751.
Please be sure to include your name on the memo line so that we know to credit the donations to your fundraising page! Funds must be received by Saturday, June 19, 2021 to be counted towards fundraising challenges, incentives, and leaderboards.
For questions about offline donations: Contact Lexi at 802-786-4991 x.14 or [email protected]
Q: Can I still get my T-shirt, appreciation packet, Swag, etc.?
A: Yes! You will receive your Participant Appreciation Package once you raise $150 or more. We are determining the most efficient method to distribute event swag and fundraising incentives. Please continue to check our website for further information. All participants are eligible for fundraising incentives as they meet the virtual fundraising challenges and prize levels.
Q: Are there fundraising incentives?
A: Yes! We will be having additional fundraising incentives for all participants in this year’s Virtual Charity Challenge! In addition to the traditional prize levels, we will be holding weekly virtual fundraising challenges with special prizes. Please follow the Vermont Adaptive Charity Challenge on Facebook for updates on fundraising challenges and prizes. https://www.facebook.com/VermontAdaptiveCharityRide/
Q: How do I record my indoor riding miles or other exercise on Strava?
A: Check out our new resource here! It’ll walk you through the process of manually entering your activities. You can also download the Strava app and record your workouts in real time. Remember to join the Vermont Adaptive Club to compete for weekly prizes!
Q: How do I share my Journey?
